 ABOUT

SO WHAT’S THE DEAL??

Hey there! Amanda is an LA based performer, improvisor and voiceover artist, who has recorded over 250 audiobooks. She has an MFA in acting from Brown University, and is a member of Actors’ Equity.

Born in Astoria, New York, but lucky enough to have been transplanted to sunny Orange County, CA, Amanda’s upbringing was a perfect mix of East meets West (And by East she means bagels, not sushi).

Amanda loves to develop new plays and musicals. She has workshopped new work with Trinity Rep, Pipeline Theater Company, Soho Rep, Marginal Man Theater Company, The Lark Play Development Center, Playwrights Rep, Brown University and many more.

In addition to stage and film work, Amanda can be heard voicing hundreds of characters in audiobooks for Macmillan, Simon & Schuster, Audible, Inc., AudioGo (BBC Audiobooks America), Podium, Blackstone Audio, John Marshall Media, HarperCollins, and Tantor Media.

AMANDA DOLAN | THESIS PERFORMANCE

Final thesis performance at Brown/Trinity. An original piece based on my experiences in drama school, coupled with moments of Patti Smith's personal journey to find herself as an artist... with some Shakespeare thrown in for good measure.

WHAT LISTENERS ARE SAYING

While Dornet delivers Avery's curiosity and unbending character with grace. I advise giving in and binge-listening to this audible treat.

Audiofile Magazine

The way Amanda gave life to all these different characters, the way they speak and act, just made the story all the more interesting. Her voice helped me get immersed in the story even more as a reader. Not only does she sound really nice, she made the story even more engaging than it already is. When she changes her voice to switch to a new character, it's a wonder how she's able to give life and emotions to so many different people, to sound distinctly different each time she lends her voice to another person. Oftentimes, I'm in awe.

Narrator Amanda Dolan delivers diverse voices without losing momentum, and the power of her performance is intense.

Review of The Small Backs of Children by Lidia Yuknavitch

Narrator Amanda Dolan uses strong, modulated tones to convey Mare's long-held disdain of the Silvers, who use their powers to subjugate the Reds. When Mare's life is threatened, she's thrust into into several deadly plots and deceptions. Dolan narrates significant secondary characters with varied inflections, leading listeners to specific conclusions — until a shocking betrayal leaves Mare confronting the unknown.
